The Howard Arms Hotel is a modest, traditional Thwaites pub situated in the picturesque market town of Brampton near Carlisle. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful Cumbrian countryside. Historic attractions such as Hadrian's Wall and Carlisle Castle are only minutes away.

The Howard Arms has a selection of stunning cask conditioned ales including the local favourites, Wainwright and Bomber. Our draught lagers include Fosters, San Miguel and Warsteiner.

The Hotel

The Howard Arms Hotel is situated in Brampton, a small market town in the heart of the Cumbrian countryside. Five miles south of the Scottish border and 15 minutes drive from Hadrian's wall and the historic city of Carlisle, The Howard Arms Hotel is ideal for people looking to discover what Cumbria has to offer. Following over 20 years in the hotel and hospitality industry both in this country and abroad Thomas Brodie took over The Howard Arms in February 2011 with his wife Dulce bringing years of experience and professionalism to the business. This time doing it for themselves rather than somebody else. We have 10 rooms available in the hotel all of which are ensuite. All of our rooms are named after famous Charles Dickens characters as the famous novelist once stayed in the hotel.

The restaurants Head Chef offers a range of traditional meals alongside a wide selection of delicous Mexican & Mediterranean dishes. Containing the finest fresh ingredients from our local suppliers.

The pub has a large portfolio of beverages for all types of residents. Fine wines from around the world, cask conditioned ales, spirits, international beers and a variety of soft hot/cold drinks.
